This is a research paper I wrote for a course titled History of Text Technologies. In this piece, I discuss digital folklore through two online communities known as Creepypasta and the SCP Foundation. I argue that, "the digitization of folklore has allowed the genre to be more accessible to the general audience, both in terms of creation and consumption, while in turn reshaping the capacity for culture and folklore’s interconnectivity."
